Flying “sola”
By now you know how much I love texting, Facebook, Craigslist and swearing. But there is something else I’m also in love with: Google. It is the be-all and end-all for your lack of knowledge. There is nothing, I mean NOTHING, you can’t find on Google. I use it to find restaurant addresses, snoop on people (you’ll be surprised at what you can find about somebody if you know where to look), book hotels, get plane tickets, images for the blog, or free software downloads. I even googled “Who invented the sun?” once. I know. Pathetic. But after my son grilled me for about 4 hours with questions like who came up with the universe and the people and the animals and the sun, I had no choice but to turn to the big “G”.
Today I thought how nice it would be to get away for two or three days, no kids, just my computer, some books, and plenty of time to lie down by the pool, get a massage, a facial, a manicure and a pedicure. I got no time-frame and no idea of where to go, though. So I google “Single ladies’ get aways” and like magic, I got a list of choices in about 0,2 seconds.
The first couple of hits seemed interesting (YourTango and Mii Amo), but my heart is definitely not $1900 broken. For that price I can almost go to the Basque Country in business class! So I try it again, this time typing “Affordable single ladies’ get aways” instead.
Ummm… Still not that broken-hearted.
What about “CHEAP single ladies’ get aways”?
