Patxi Lopez will attend Canal Vasco’s presentation in New York
Basque Country’s president Patxi Lopez and his delegation will travel to the East Coast and Texas next week in an effort to strengthen the role of Basque companies in North America. He plans on visiting technology centers such as MIT in Boston, the Technology Institute in Massachusetts or John Hopkins University in Washington, as well as multilateral institutions such as the Inter-American Development Bank (IADB) and the Organization of American States (OAS).
On Saturday, October 15, President Patxi Lopez will join EITB’s director Alberto Surio in New York’s Basque Center, where the latter will present EITB’s new platform online, etib.tv, as well as Canal Vasco, a channel that brings Basque-language television and Basque culture to the large Basque community residing in the Americas. EITB and Galaxy signed an agreement which now allows Boise residents to tune into Canal Vasco.
EITB’s correspondant Igor Lansorena will arrive in Boise tomorrow, where he will spend the next three days conducting interviews in order to give Boise a voice during next week’s event in New York. He will meet with several individuals from Boise’s Basque community to get their input regarding both eitb.tv and Canal Vasco.
