Animation film Gartxot to premiere this weekend in the Basque Country
Gartxot, Itzaltzuko bardoa, is the story of a minstrel sent into exile by the new Abbot to capture his only son. The child escapes and sings again beside his father. Their songs become a symbol of the struggle against oppression. As authorities surround them, a tragedy that will always be remembered occurs.
The film, based on an Arturo Campion’s story and directed by Asisko Urmeneta and Juanjo Elordi, is premiering on November 18 in the 4 major cities of the Basque Country: Bilbao, Gasteiz, Donostia and Iruña.
