A Basque in Boise

Have a Christmas story? Share it with the Basque community!

Cyrielle Balerdi, with Le Journal du Pays Basque, is working on an article centered on how Basques in the Diaspora celebrate Christmas. She would like to hear from as many people as possible before December 20.

What is she looking for? Just a simple answer to a couple of simple questions and, if possible, a photo of you (or your family). No matter where you live or how old you are, all stories are welcome!

1. Do you come from the Basque Country?

2. Do you remember the first Christmas you spent outside of the Basque Country? How was it? Where? With who?

3. If  you are an American with Basque parents and you used to spend Christmas as part of the Basque community, what does it represent for you? How do you celebrate it in you Basque Club? Is it different from the American Christmas?

You can email your stories, along with your name (or a pseudo if you want), age, work, the place you come from and the place where you live, to Cyrielle Balerdi at cbalerdi@lejpb.com.

Thanks for passing by: ↓
