Mountain Home 5K Korrika Fun Run/Walk and Paella Dinner

Last year, Euskal Lagunak Basque Club of Mountain Home, Idaho, organized the first edition of the Korrika in their city, a 3-mile run in support of the Basque language. About sixty people showed up from different parts of the state to participate and support the effort.

The Mountain Home Basque Club is already gearing up for their second annual Korrika, which will take place on Sunday, April 22, 2012. You can download the registration form here and to participate in this international event promoting the Basque culture. All proceeds go toward Basque education and literacy. The registration deadline is April 16.

The Korrika event in Boise will be on Saturday, April 28th.

SCHEDULE FOR THE MOUNTAIN HOME KORRIKA EVENT

1:00 pm Race Day Registration Begins
2:00 pm Race begins at American Legion Hall and ends there
3:00 pm Paella demo by the Basque Market begins
4:00 pm Paella dinner

FEES: $30 for both race and paella dinner ($20 race ONLY – $15 dinner ONLY)
