A Basque in Boise

In Idaho, Two Basque Stories, as featured in The New York Times

Once in a while, Basque stories are featured on national or international media, which is always a great thing. Not long ago there was a report on American-Basque cuisine by Smithsonian Magazine, a radio program on Basque sport, pelota, by Sadie Babits, even a news article on Boise’s fronton by Basque media outlet eitb.com (you can find the original entries in English at A Basque in Boise and Bieterblog).

This month, The New York Times published a couple of Basque stories on their Travel section, one about San Inazio 2012 and the other one about sheep rancher Henry Etcheverry. Both stories feature beautiful pictures of people and places in Idaho we know so well.
