Basque Studies at BSU hosts open house on Monday, September 30
Thanks to Euskalkultura.com, A Basque in Boise has learned that The Basque Studies Program at Boise State University in Boise, Idaho is hosting an open house at the BSU campus on Monday September 30, along with its host departments World Languages and History. Everybody is invited. The event will include a performance by Kalakan Basque music trio (playing this upcoming Saturday in Mountain Home, ID), a debut of the “Boise River Mural,” as well as tours of new offices in the various departments.
There will be music, art and information on the Basque studies minor as well as tours of several new offices.
The event will run from 10am-1pm beginning with an open-air concert by Kalakan, a Basque music trio who is currently touring several Basque communities. The concert will continue with informational sessions including one on the programs Basque Minor. Karen Wood’s mural “Boise River Mural” will also be unveiled.
