Basque singing at the Basque Market on Friday, October 25
Every year, NABO’s Basque language coordinator Izaskun Kortazar helps organize a get-together for Basques and non-Basques alike to meet up and sing traditional songs from the Basque Country. Please join us at the Basque Market (608 W Grove St) on October 25 from 5 to 6 pm. Then, we will also stop by the Lekuona and the Basque Center for drinks.
You do not need to speak Basque or know the songs to participate, as you will receive a booklet with the songs. Our Basque language students are in charge of this Basque singing night, where everybody is welcome. All you need to do is pay for your drinks.
Please, spread the word by inviting your friends and posting this event on your Facebook page.
For more information and updates, feel free to drop me or Izaskun Kortazar a line. You can also call her at (208) 891-2679 if you get downtown and cannot find the group.
Have fun!
