Glad I decided to look up an old post today, and discovered that the reason I hadn’t received any blog updates lately was because you were updating. New site looks great! Look forward to new posts in my inbox soon 🙂

Yes, I am glad too. I lost all the emails from the people that had signed up. Thanks for the message, I really like to receive comments. Big hug!

Hi from the sothern Basque Country¡

I´ve found this interesting blog when I was searching the web looking for news from Boise, because my son is currently there through an interchange of his Ikastola (in Vitoria) with a High School in Boise. He´s living with a family and I am finding out our heritage in USA. Very nice. But in this blog I´ve found much more than that: an very clever exercise of personal expression of thougts and feelings.

Love that you have taken the time to provide this precious history of our family.I may have spoken to you once many years ago.
    Thank you

Hello Mario, of course! I know some of the relatives and friends, and it’s a great story. I am glad you saw it and took the time to leave a comment on the blog. Big hug!

Both my paternal and maternal grandparents came to the US in the late 1890’s. I have met some of my relatives when they came to this country to herd sheep, and also when they came to visit. My life long dream is to visit Euskadi. I still have many relatives there. To meet them and to see the land of my roots and all the placces and things my grandparents and parents talked about and get more information on my history, would be beyond a dream come true.\

My mother and matereral grandparents were 100% Basque. They owned a small Basque restaurant in the Central Valley of California. They were French Basque and I am trying to replicate some of their recipes. If anybody has an idea to help I would appreciate it. I do not speak or read Bascue. Thank you for your help.
