Basque Geneology Workshop in Boise

Did you ever wonder how to find your ancestors in the Basque Country? You can find the answers now thanks to the free Basque Genealogy Workshop organized by the Cenarrusa Foundation for Basque Culture and the Government of the Territory of Bizkaia. During this event open to the public, you will learn how to use the Internet to find, print and order photographs, maps, official certificates and records, including, birth, marriage, death, and land sales back to the 1500s.

Professional genealogists and historians from the Bizkaian Historic Ecclesiastical Archive in Derio will instruct these events. There will be 30 Computers and materials available, as well as specialists to teach and help you find information.

 

When:  Friday, October 14, 6pm-9pm and Saturday October 15, 10am-3pm (snacks provided).
Where: Koelsch Elementary School ( 2015 N Curtis Rd, north of the Curtis/Fairview intersection)
