A Basque in Boise

Instant gratification. Not yet. But soon.

In the end I couldn’t help myself and I bought it!

It was weird to feel for a split second like the materialistic girl I used to be. Luckily I got skills, so I had myself convinced in no time that I’ve worked hard this last year, that I still have to celebrate getting a new job at Hewlett-Packard, and that I deserve to upgrade this 3-year old MacBook with the 45-minute battery life.

I ordered my brand new 15″ MacBook Pro late last night (so late it was almost this morning).  It felt pretty good to click that “Place Order” button, but I’m still not so instantly gratified as I have to wait for at least 3 days to arrive (I even paid the extra $18 for 1-3 day shipping).

I’m still experiencing a slight feeling of guilt lingering inside. Hopefully it’ll be gone the minute I finish transferring the 100GB of music of my iTunes library from the external to the internal hard drive, and realizing (oh joy!) that I still got 260 GB to spare.
