Athletic players will be The Beatles on Christmas Eve

I don’t have to tell you guys how awesome Athletic de Bilbao is and how much we’re enjoying our fourth place in La Liga so far. However I will, because this is my blog and they are my team, and when I see something cool related to Athletic, I like to pass it on. Like when they played with their moms’ names on their jerseys for Mother’s Day. That was pretty neat.

Last night I saw that Athletic players Iker Muniain, Markel Susaeta, Oscar de Marcos, and Mikel Balenziaga will sing a version of The Beatles’ Love me do on ETB1 during a special program on Christmas Eve, Euskal Kantuen Gaua 2013. The players will dress as John Lenon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Star to perform one of the British group’s most legendary hits. I only have a short preview of the video taken from eitb.com, but hopefully the entire song will be available once the program airs on December 24.

I checked out the photos and the video and they all look pretty convincing. Aupa Athletic!
