Astero’s weekly bulletin brings some interesting news related to the San Francisco Cultural Center, which is honored to have University of the Basque Country President, Iñaki Goirizelaia, with them on Friday May 16th to give a talk at 7:30pm.

Dr. Goirizelaia will talk about offerings at the university as well as present a 20 minute version of the 1956 film Gure Sor Lekua that was originally produced for Basques in the Diaspora. The film thought to be the first done in Basque was believed to be lost, but it was recently found by Josu Martinez, a doctoral student at the UPV/EHU who is researching the film as part of his thesis.
