Consulate of Mexico in Boise to honor Pete Cenarrusa
On Wednesday, October 30th, the Consulate of Mexico in Boise will celebrate their traditional “Día de los muertos” (the Day of the Dead) to remember those who have departed. This year, the Consulate of Mexico will honor former Secretary of State Pete Cenarrusa, who passed away on September 29th.
The Consulate of Mexico would like to extend an invitation to attend the event, which will take place at 4:00 pm at the Consulate of Mexico in Boise (701 Morrison Knudsen Dr).
Hot chocolate and “pan de muerto” will be served. (Pan de muerto or bread of the dead is a traditional Mexican sweet roll eaten during this celebration).
Please, feel free to share this invitation and, if you plan on attending, make sure to RSVP to infoboise@sre.gob.mx.
The current Consul of Mexico to Boise, Mr. Guillermo Ordorica, took office last June. As you can infer from his last name, he is a Mexican of Basque descent, and very proud of his Basque heritage.
