Portland Timbers 2 to play against Swope Park Rangers in Meridian on June 4, 2016

Boise, Idaho – The team that brought the 2015 Basque Soccer Friendly to Boise, Idaho are collaborating on the next big thing for professional soccer in Idaho. On March 10, the Portland Timbers 2 ( T2) and the Idaho Youth Soccer Association (IYSA) announced that the United Soccer League (USL) club will square off against Swope Park Rangers of Kansas City on Saturday, June 4, at Rocky Mountain High School in Meridian, Idaho; kickoff is set for 7 p.m. (Mountain).

“With Idaho being an important part of the Timbers Homegrown territory, playing this T2 game in Boise is a great opportunity for the club to further develop and broaden its partnerships in the state and to showcase the Timbers brand to an ever-increasing, regional fan base,” said Gavin Wilkinson, general manager of the Portland Timbers and T2. Gates will open at 5:30 p.m. (Mountain) for the June 4 match; parking will be free.  General admission tickets for the T2 match will be $20 each and go on sale today, Friday, April 1, at 10 a.m. (Mountain) online at iysa.eventbrite.com. Subject to availability, tickets will also be available for purchase at the stadium ticket gate the night of the match
